1. The focus of our Christian lives.
A. Seeking Jesus with our hearts. Matthew 6: 5-6.
B. Setting our minds on the things above. Romans 12: 1-2.

2. The temptations in our Christian lives. James 1: 14-15.
A. To give into the lies.
B. To go back to our old sinful ways.
C. Sins that will lead to death and God’s wrath.
3. The truths to help us to overcome temptation.
A. Believing in God’s goodness. 1 Timothy 6: 17; Romans 8: 31-32.
B. Relying on God’s character. Hebrews 12: 1-2; Hebrews 13: 5-8.
C. Being thankful for God’s salvation. Ephesians 2:8; 1 Peter 1: 22-23.
1. Be thankful. Hebrews 13: 15-16.
2. Be content. Philippians 4: 11-13.
3. Take responsibility.
