At Hillside we believe that we are all to be active and engaged moment by moment in representing Christ. This is foundational in how we handle missions locally and overseas. As His ambassadors, it needs to start in our home, spread to our neighbors, and reach to the ends of the earth. We have many singles and families serving in various capacities locally and overseas. We love to see how Hillside continues to be community, whether our people are 10 minutes or 34 hours away. Our prayer is that our missionaries feel valued and secure in who God has made them to be and free to serve as the Lord leads in hopes that all would know His amazing grace. We are in this together!

Youth With Hope (Nicaragua)

At risk kids and their families have captured our hearts in Nicaragua. With like-minded Nicaraguans who have become like family to our body, we have developed a school that not only offers an academic education, but one that incorporates a wholistic approach to grow healthy families that engage in their own community.

Eden & Emma Valle (Nicaragua)

Eden & Emma are such a joy to partner with in ministry! Their heart for people to be cared for and grow closer to Jesus is a challenge to each of us. They live in Masaya, Nicaragua and not only are they very involved in Youth With Hope but also have other ministries into which they pour their lives. Emma works with Compassion Nicaragua, and recently Eden and Emma have started another ministry called Amber which focuses on freedom for those bound by addiction.

The Tipton Family (Spain)

The Tipton/ Wiederwohl family moved to Spain in 2019. They are studying Spanish as they prepare to work with immigrants and refugees. They are passionate about discipleship and will be using their past experience of running a recording studio to record and broadcast biblical teachings online. They will also be partnering with ministries and churches in Spain who are working to meet the practical and spiritual needs of a large immigrant population.

Luke Runyon (Uganda)

Luke's heart is in Africa. Having lived in Africa for approximately 20 years, he is well versed in many types of ministries, and his impact stretches from the south of the continent to the north. Growing the Kingdom of God through discipleship, administration, pastor training and sports ministry is where Luke shines. Currently Luke serves in an amazing ministry in Uganda.
